Reiki and Animals

Prerequisite:  Reiki II in any lineage.

This class is for anyone who has completed Reiki II or higher and wishes to learn how to successfully offer Reiki to animals while also deepening their connection to Reiki energy and animals.  This class will enrich your Reiki training through its focus on traditional Japanese Reiki concepts and meditations.

Topics covered include successfully offering Reiki to all types of animals, the Reiki Precepts, the Japanese energy system, traditional Japanese Reiki meditations, review of Level 2 symbols and mantras from a traditional Japanese perspective, remote treatments and the Animal Reiki Practitioner Code of Ethics.  Students will have assignments each week to practice with animals.

The class will be held via teleconference one hour per week over four weeks. Class notes will be provided one week prior to each session with homework.   A certificate will be provided upon class completion.

Shoden Reiki I and Reiki for Animals

Prerequisite:  Open to everyone

This class, the first level of Reiki, is for animal people who with to learn the system of Reiki and how it can help them deepen their relationships with animals while also learning how to support healing on physical and emotional levels.  Taught from a traditional Japanese Reiki perspective, this class provides the foundation for self-care and working with both animals and their caregivers.  This class is unique from other Reiki classes due to the focus on offering Reiki to animals; however, you will also learn the basics of working with humans.

Topics covered include the history of Reiki, the Reiki Precepts, the Japanese energy system, traditional Japanese Reiki meditations, basic hand positions for self-care and for treating other humans, successfully offering Reiki to all types of animals and the Animal Reiki Practitioner Code of Ethics.  There will be practice time with both animals and humans.  Students will receive four Reiki I Reiju/Attunements.

The class will be held in two 5 to 6 hour sessions (first session held at Two Paws Up Bakery and final session held at an animal rescue or sanctuary).  A manual and certificate will be provided.

25% of proceeds will be donated to the animal rescue/sanctuary allowing us to practice with their animals.

Okuden Reiki II and Reiki for Animals

Prerequisite:  Reiki I in any lineage

This class is for people who have completed Reiki I and wish to deepen their connection with Reiki energy and animals. Taught from a traditional Japanese Reiki perspective, the first three Reiki symbols and mantras will be introduced for use with animals and their people. This class is unique from other Reiki classes due to the focus on offering Reiki to animals; however, you will be working with humans as well.

Students will experience the energy of each symbol through the Reiki II Reiju/Attunements and use of the symbols and mantras with each other and the animals.  Students will also review how to successfully offer Reiki to all types of animals, as well as experience offering a remote treatment.  There will be practice time with both animals and humans.

The class will be held in two 5 to 6 hour sessions (first session held at Two Paws Up Bakery and final session held at an animal rescue or sanctuary).  A manual and certificate will be provided.

Shinpiden Reiki III and Reiki for Animals

Prerequisite: Reiki II in any lineage (provide copy of certificate) and the Animal Hearts® Healing Arts Academy Reiki for Animals (for Reiki Professionals) class.

This advanced class is for people who have completed Reiki II and are interested in learning to teach Reiki and Reiki for Animals, and for Level III practitioners and teachers who wish to add Reiki for Animals to their offerings. This class is unique in its focus on traditional Japanese Reiki concepts and meditations integrated with successful approaches for offering Reiki to all animals.

Topics covered include traditional Japanese Reiki meditations and techniques for Levels I, II and III, the 4th symbol and mantra, instruction and practice on performing Reiju/attunements, structuring classes and mentoring students and a review of how to successfully offer Reiki to all types of animals.  There will be practice time with both animals and humans.  Students will receive one Reiki III Reiju/Attunement.

The class will be held over two eight-hour days.  Manuals for all levels and a certificate will be provided.

25% of proceeds will be donated to the animal rescue/sanctuary allowing us to practice with their animals.

Self-Healing for Animal Caregivers

Prerequisite:  Open to everyone

This class teaches a variety of techniques from the Japanese system of Reiki to help with relaxation and stress reduction for Animal Caregivers.

Topics covered include a discussion of what Reiki is, the Reiki Precepts, a traditional Japanese Reiki meditation and basic hand positions for self-care.  We will also discuss how animals can help us meditate and relax.

Class is 2 hours.  25% of proceeds will be donated to the animal rescue/sanctuary.

Meditations for You and Your Animals

Learn three simple meditations to help transform stress and drama into a space of peace and compassion for you and your animals. 

This class will be held via teleconference over 3 weeks, one hour per week.  Class notes will be provided before each class along with homework.
